Ingredients

Gingerbread Loaf:

½ cup melted butter

1 cup sugar

1 Eggland's Best egg, large

1 cup apple sauce

1½ cup flour

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp ground ginger

1 tsp ground clove

1 tsp ground nutmeg

2 tsp ground cinnamon

Orange Maple Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp freshly grated orange zest

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 tbsp milk

Preparation

Gingerbread Loaf:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line or spray your bread loaf pan with non stick cooking spray - set aside.
  2. In a bowl, add melted butter and sugar, combine until it's well incorporated.
  3. Next add your Eggland's Best egg, apple sauce, spices and baking soda. Mix mix mix!
  4. Add the flour and using a rubber spatula, fold everything in until well incorporated.
  5. Transfer batter into the bread loaf pan and bake for 45 mins or until the center is cooked.

Orange Maple Glaze:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk until you have no lumps and smooth free consistency.
  2. Once the bread is done baking and has cooled, pour glaze over the bread and enjoy!
